Slow simmered and delicious... hearty southern style chicken stew

Recipe Ingredients for Southern Chicken Stew

6 cups chicken breast
6 cups chicken broth
3 large onions
6 stalks celery
4 cups tomato sauce
4 cups diced canned tomatoes
5 large idaho potatoes
4 cups whole kernel corn
1 stick butter
2 tbsp black pepper
3 carrots
3 tbsp salt

Recipe Directions for Southern Chicken Stew

  1. Boil Chicken breast in 6 cups salted water along with celery, carrots, and onions for 20-30 min until done. Add any spices that you like to flavor broth. Remove chicken and let cool.

  2. Dice potatoes and add to broth. Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, corn, and butter. Pick chicken from bones and remove skin. Dice chicken and add to stew. Simmer on low to medium heat for a few hours. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
