These muffins taste like baking powder biscuits and are very quick and easy to make. Very yummy, but not a low-calorie or reduced fat recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for Southern Biscuit Muffins

2 1/2 c flour
1/4 c sugar
1 1/2 T baking powder
3/4 c butter
1 c fat free milk

Recipe Directions for Southern Biscuit Muffins

Preheat oven to 440 Degrees. Grease 12 muffin cups. (these muffins brown better on the sides and bottom when baked without paper liners.) In large bowl, combine flour, sugar & baking powder. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk just until flour mixture is moistened. Spoon into muffin cups. Bake 20 minutes or until golden. Remove from pan. Cool on wire rack.
