Makes 4 servings



Uses one cup of sourdough starter which is simulated with an extra 1/2 cup of flour and 1 teaspoon yeast. (Do not add the extras, use the 1 cup of sourdough starter instead). There is a separate recipe for the sourdough starter in the database.

Recipe Ingredients for Sourdough Pancakes

1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon yeast
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Recipe Directions for Sourdough Pancakes

Mix all ingredients together. Pre-heat an oiled drill to 325 to 350 degrees F. When a drop of water scatters across the grill the grill is ready. Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter on the grill. Turn the pancake when the bubbles have burst and remain open, and when the outside rim of the pancake is no longer liquid. Cook for 30 seconds or so after turning.
