You may use frozen hash browns rather than grated potatoes. Just buy the large shredded potatoes. These are often known as the "funeral potatoes".

Recipe Ingredients for Sour Cream Potatoes

8 potatoes
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 pint sour cream
1 c cheddar cheese
1/2 c butter
1 c corn flakes

Recipe Directions for Sour Cream Potatoes

  1. Place grated potatoes into a greased 9x13 inch pan.

  2. Stir together in a bowl the soup, sour cream, shredded cheese, melted butter, salt and pepper. Pour sauce over potatoes.

  3. Sprinkle on crushed corn flakes or chips. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
