Good side dish to my Slow-cooked Beans and Ham recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for Sour Cream Corn Bread

1 cup flour
3/4 cup cornmeal
1/4 cup milk
1 cup light sour cream
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp TB margerine

Recipe Directions for Sour Cream Corn Bread

  1. Sift flour then add flour to a medium bowl. Sift in corn bread and remaining DRY ingredients. In a separate small bowl, combine beaten egg, melted butter, sour cream and milk.

  2. Add liquids to dry ingredients all at once and mix until JUST combined.

  3. Pour into a greased 8" square or round pan and bake at 425 for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
