Recipe Ingredients for Sour Cream Breakfast Cake

1 vegetable oil spray
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon, ground
3 cups flour, all purpose
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 salt pinch
1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup butter, 1 1/2 sticks unsalted, room temperature
3 eggs, large
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups sour cream

Recipe Directions for Sour Cream Breakfast Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray Bundt pan with vegetable oil spray.

  2. Mix brown sugar, pecans and cinnamon in small bowl. Set aside.

  3. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt into medium bowl.

  4. Using electric mixer, beat sugar and butter in large bowl until blended.

  5. Beat in eggs one at a time.

  6. Beat in vanilla.

  7. Add flour mixture; beat until just combined.

  8. Mix in sour cream.

  9. Spoon half batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle nut mixture over batter. Spoon remaining batter over.

  10. Bake until cake is golden and tester inserted near center comes out clean, about 50 minutes.
