This is my version of "souping up" the store bought spaghetti sauce to taste...

Recipe Ingredients for Souped Up Tomato Suace w Angel Hair

2 clove Garlic
1 cup chopped raw Vidalia Onion
3 large Onions, Spring Or Scallions
1 tbsp Olive Oil
0.5 cup leaves, whole Basil, Fresh
1 cup Spinach
1 tsp Pepper, Red Or Cayenne
8 oz Grape Tomatoes
14.5 oz Ready-Cut - Diced Tomatoes
26 oz Spaghetti Sauce with Tomatoes and Basil
14.5 oz Angel Hair
1 leg, bone removed Chicken, Leg
1 thigh, bone and skin removed Chicken, Thigh, Meat Only
3 tbsp Parmesan, Grated Cheese

Recipe Directions for Souped Up Tomato Suace w Angel Hair

  1. Boil pasta in water per instructions on package in big pot for appx 10 minutes and drain.

  2. Cut onions and crush 2 garlic cloves, set aside.

  3. In a gravy pot, heat 2 tbsp olive oil.

  4. Add in onions, garlic, basil and spinach leaves and red pepper flakes. Simmer until onions transparent.

  5. Add in grape tomatoes, diced tomatoes and chicken meat.

  6. Add in spaghetti sauce and grated cheese (stirred in well). I added about 1 tsp Cabarnet Savignon to mine.

  7. Cover, stirring through and often.

  8. Mix with angel hair pasta.

  9. Takes about 40 mins total.
