2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 carrot, finely chopped
2 cups green split peas
3/4 teaspoons dried thyme
1 teaspoon salt
6 cups water

Recipe Directions for soup, split pea, pressure cooker gourmet

  1. Sautee onions, carrots in oil. When softened, add split peas, water, salt, and thyme.

  2. Put on lid, bring to high pressure, cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit for 15 minutes.

  3. Gentle release any remaining pressure. Ladle into bowls.
