the one all cure for being sick or in need of some good homemade soup

Recipe Ingredients for The Soup

4 cups cooked chicken
1 tbsp salt
9 cups of water
1/4 tsp pepper
1 large white onion
3 cups chopped carrots
1 cup chopped celery
1 egg
2 tbsp milk
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for The Soup

  1. boil the whole 3-4lb bird, 9 cups of water, 1 tbsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, 1 large white chopped onion, 3 cups chopped carrots for 45 mins covered.

  2. pull bird out after 45 mins, cool and pull apart.

  3. add chicken back into soup, also adding celery with leafs.

  4. simmer for 20 mins uncovered

  5. Rivels- in a seperate bowl add 1 cup flour, 1 egg, 1/2 tsp salt, and 2 tbsp milk. mix till crumbly.

  6. Shake the rivels in slowly and turn entire soup contents to boiling for 15-20 mins.

  7. ENJOY!
