Whole grain pasta cooked aldente with ground beef, ground turkey, garlic and olive oil diced tomatoes. Fresh eggplant, basil and yellow bellpepper. Slow cooked with tomatoe and basil pasta sauce and seasoned with italian seasoning and a pinch of salt.

Recipe Ingredients for Sonya's Good and Healthy Spaghetti

14 1/2 oz. Tomatoes
6 oz Spaghetti with Tomato and Basil Sauce
16 oz 99% lean ground turkey
16 oz 95% lean ground beef
20 oz organic 100% whole grain pasta
4 oz fresh tomato
8 oz fresh eggplant
4 oz fresh bell pepper
2 oz fresh basil
1 oz italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for Sonya's Good and Healthy Spaghetti

Brown turkey and ground beef together, season with italian seasoning and pinch of salt. Add yellow bell peppers and allow to cook until tender. Drain off fat and set aside. Slow cook fresh basil, diced tomatoes with garlic and olive oil in seperate pot for about 20 minutes. Add tomato and basil pasta sauce, fresh eggpant, then simmer another 10 minutes. Mix meat and tomato sauce together and simmer for 5 minutes. Bring water to a boil and season with pinch of salt. Boil pasta till aldente and drain off the water. Serve meat sauce over spagetti. A sprinkle of grated parmesian can be added on top (optional).
