Thick oatmeal cookies that don't go flat when you cook them!

Recipe Ingredients for Soft, Thick Oatmeal cookies

2 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 tsp cinnamon
1 cup butter
2 large eggs
1/2 cup raisins
3 cups oatmeal
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda

Recipe Directions for Soft, Thick Oatmeal cookies

  1. Cream butter sugar (don't melt butter!) then add 2 eggs and beat with electric mixer or beater until liquid mixture looks light and fluffy. Then add vanilla.

  2. Mix all dry ingredients in separate bowl. gradually add liquid mixture. Stir manually until well mixed.

  3. Add raisins and stir.

  4. Put dough in fridge for 20 minutes and then scoop up heaping teaspoons of batter onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 mins at 350 degrees.
