I use a cast iron skillet for the socca and a pizza stone for the pizza. Add any topping for the pizza you like.

Recipe Ingredients for Socca Pizza-11 ww pts.

1/2 c flour, chickpea
1/2 c water
1 T water
1/4 t sea salt (heaping)
1/16 t ground cumin
1 T olive oil, divided
1 ounce mozzarella cheese
1/4 c pizza sauce
4 mushrooms
1 small tomato, ( or 6 grape tomatos)
6 fresh basil leaves

Recipe Directions for Socca Pizza-11 ww pts.

  1. To make Socca:

  2. Mix together the flour, water,salt, cumin,, and 1/2 T oil. Let batter rest for at least 2 hours, covered at room temperature.

  3. To cook, heat broiler, oil a 9 or 10 inch pan with 1/2 oil and heat pan in oven.

  4. One the pan and the overn are blazing-hot, pur the batterinto the pan to cover bottom and put back in broiler.

  5. Bake until soccais firm and beginning to blister.

  6. Slide the socca onto a cutting board.

  7. To make the Pizza

  8. Add toppings to Socca

  9. Reduce heat and put pizza into oven to brown toppings about 15 min. (i use a pizza stone)
