Makes 1 serving



wheat free garbanzo bean flour flat bread. Good for South Beach Phase 1. Good for pizza base or as a side.

Recipe Ingredients for Socca Flat Bread

1 cup Garbanzo Fava Bean Flour
1 cup water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon rosemary leaves

Recipe Directions for Socca Flat Bread

  1. Mix dry ingredients.

  2. Add water and HALF the olive oil. Mix. (NOTE: batter will be very thin.)

  3. Coat bottom of cast iron pan with HALF remaining olive oil, pour batter into pan.

  4. Bake in oven at 470 degrees F for 10 minutes.

  5. Remove pan, brush top with remaining olive oil, return to oven and BROIL until top is golden brown (approx. 2 minutes)

  6. Very good as a main meal when topped with chicken, and goat cheese prior to broiling.
