Delicious cookie that is actually softer the next day than it is right out of the oven. 36 servings - 3" cookie size.

Recipe Ingredients for Snickerdoodles

1 cup Shortening
1.5 cup Sugars, Granulated
2 large Egg, Whole
2.75 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
2 tsp Leavening Agents, Cream Of Tartar
1 tsp Leavening Agents, Baking Soda
0.5 tsp Salt, Table
0.5 cup Sugars, Granulated
1 tbsp Cinnamon, Ground

Recipe Directions for Snickerdoodles

  1. Cream shortening & sugar.

  2. Add eggs and mix until light and frothy.

  3. Add cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.

  4. Mix again.

  5. Finally mix in flour adding 1 cup at a time until fully mixed.

  6. Roll into balls.

  7. Dip into mixture of sugar and cinnamon.

  8. Place on cookie sheet.

  9. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
