Recipe Ingredients for Snappy Late Summer Slaw

1 1/2 lb cabbage
4 oz carrots
6 oz onion
4 oz apple
4 oz jalapeno
3 oz craisins
1/4 c lemon juice
1/2 c mayonnaise
1/2 c sour cream
2 T honey
2 t mustard
1 t salt
1 t pepper

Recipe Directions for Snappy Late Summer Slaw

  1. Seed and mince jalapenos; shred cabbage, carrots; slice onions very thin; julienne apples (granny smith work best); soak craisins in warm water for 15 minutes.

  2. Mix thoroughly lemon juice, mayo, sour cream, honey, mustard, salt and pepper. For a spicier mayo, add 2-4 T Trappy's Red Devil Pepper Sauce, or Louisiana Gold Pepper Sauce.

  3. Toss all veggies/fruit with dressing, cover, and chill at least 2 hours.
