I like to use low fat or fat free yogurt, but couldn't make it work with this program. You can also use water or ice cubes instead of orange juice, this cuts down on sugar. This recipe gives you lots of protein and fiber. The fats are mostly unsaturated or zero with fat free version. The smoothy is tasty and easy to digest. If you are working out, you won't get bogged down by this meal and it will give you lots of energy. The down side is that it is very high in sugar. The good part of that is it is mostly from the fruit. It is also high in several vitamins and minerals (vit C, calcium, potasium). Overall, a good meal as long as you balance it with other foods throughout the day lower in sugar, and drink plenty of water.

First, blend the oats to make them almost a powder. Then add everything else. Blend to the consistency you like. Add less or more orange juice depending on how watery you like it. This is a great pre-workout meal.
