Recipe Ingredients for Smoked Paprika & Rutabaga Bisque

3 T unsalted butter
1 onion, chopped
2 stalk celery, chopped
1 1/2 lb rutabaga, peeled and chopped
4 c vegetable broth, low sodium
2 c half-and-half
2 1/2 t paprika, smoked
1 t pepper

Recipe Directions for Smoked Paprika & Rutabaga Bisque

  1. Cook onion and celery in butter until tender (~5 min)

  2. Add rutabaga and broth, cook until rutabagas are tender, ~30 min

  3. Add cream, paprika, and pepper and stir to combine

  4. Let cool slightly and blend until smooth

  5. Add more salt and pepper, as needed
