Recipe Ingredients for Smashed New potatoes

5 pounds red potatos
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup whole milk
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper

Recipe Directions for Smashed New potatoes

  1. Trim skin from potatos, and cut into cubes. Place in a large pot of water; add 1/2 tsp salt to water. Boil until tender.

  2. Mash with hand masher or electric mixer; add butter, milk, the rest of salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot.
