Recipe Ingredients for Smart Bars by Grandma Wehe

1/2 cup wheat germ
1 cup oats
1/2 cup whole-wheat flour
1 cup pecans
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup instant nonfat dry milk
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 banana
2 eggs
1/3 c maple syrup

Recipe Directions for Smart Bars by Grandma Wehe

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pulse the dry ingredients in your food processor. Add banana, eggs and syrup, and pulse just until everything is moistened. Using a rubber spatula, spread into lightly sprayed 9-inch-by-13-inch pan.

  2. Bake for about 20 minutes. Cool slightly, cut into bars and store in covered container.
