This recipe actually calls for 4 chicken thighs, but I call it out separately when I'm counting calories because sometimes I have the chickpeas alone.

Recipe Ingredients for Slowcooker Moroccan Chickpeas

32 ounce can) garbanzos
15 ounce can) tomatoes
1 large red bell pepper
1 medium red onion
1/4 cup raisins
1 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon paprika

Recipe Directions for Slowcooker Moroccan Chickpeas

  1. Rinse and drain garbanzos.

  2. Cut red bell pepper into 1 inch or smaller pieces.

  3. Cut onion into 1 inch or smaller pieces.

  4. Add all ingredients to crockpot, and mix.

  5. (Optional Add 4-8 boneless skinless chicken thighs)

  6. Cook on low for 6-7 hours

  7. ~14 servings (1/2 cup each)
