Recipe Ingredients for Slow Cooker Vegetarian Chili

36 1/2 oz Beans, Kidney, Red, Mature Seeds, Canned
1 large Onions
2 carrot (7-1/2") Carrots
2 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long) Celery
2 tsp Cumin Seed
2 clove Garlic
1 medium (approx 2-3/4" long, 2-1/2" dia) Peppers, Sweet, Red
2 tbsp Chili Powder
796 grams Unico Crushed Tomatoes

Recipe Directions for Slow Cooker Vegetarian Chili

  1. Heat the oil in a saute pan, then add the onions, carrots and celery.

  2. Saute for four minutes, until the vegetables start to soften.

  3. Add the garlic and bell pepper, stir and saute another 2 minutes.

  4. Add the spices and cook for one minute, stirring constantly. Remove the pan from heat.

  5. Add the vegetables and the remaining ingredients to the slow cooker and stir to combine.

  6. Cover and cook on low for six hours.

  7. Serving Size: Makes 8 one-cup servings.
