Family favourite - it's for tea tonight, although I am heartbroken that I am having to cook it in August for the first time this year, instead of September/October. Pre-diet I would have shoved a load of suet dumplings into this.... :-( .... and that's why I am fat and here! Have it with a load of vegetables instead!

Recipe Ingredients for Slow Cooker Simple Beef Casserole

450 g diced beef, lean
1 1/2 large onions, diced
450 g carrots, peeled and chopped
2 oz mushrooms, slices
500 g new potatoes, quartered
100 g Gravy, brown, dry

Recipe Directions for Slow Cooker Simple Beef Casserole

Put slow cooker on to heat on High. Put all ingredients into a large pan and bring to the boil. When slow cooker is hot enough, put contents of pan into crockpot and cook for about 6 hours
