Great refried beans made in a slow cooker

Recipe Ingredients for Slow Cooker Refried Beans

2 cups of dried pinto beans
6 cups of water
1 tsp salt
2 tsp of black pepper
1/2 cup onion
1 clove garlic

Recipe Directions for Slow Cooker Refried Beans

  1. Rinse pinto beans thoroughly with cold water.

  2. Mix in salt.

  3. Transfer beans into slow cooker.

  4. Add enough water to 2 inches above beans.

  5. Add pepper, onions and garlic.

  6. Cook on HIGH for 6 - 8 hours or until most of the water has been soaked up.

  7. Use a masher to mash to a refried consistency. Serve warm.
