Flavorful pot roast that makes its own gravy.

Recipe Ingredients for Slow cooker pot roast

2 lb chuck roast
3 potatoes, large
4 carrots, large
10 3/4 oz soup, golden mushroom, Campbell's
2 tbs. flour
1 salt
1 pepper
3/4 c. water
2 tbs. olive oil, extra light

Recipe Directions for Slow cooker pot roast

  1. Season chuck roast with salt & pepper, flour both sides & brown on med-high in small amount of oil. Place in slow cooker. Cut potatoes and carrots into large chunks and add to slow cooker (most will sit on top of the roast). Mix soup with water and pour over the top of roast and veggies. Cook on low for 6-8 hrs.

  2. After removing cooked roast and veggies, pour gravy into serving container and let sit for a minute or two. You can then skim off the fat that has risen to the top.
