Recipe Ingredients for Slow cooker pork carnitas

1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried coriander
2 cloves garlic
2/5 g bay leaves
3 lb pork roast
1/3 cup orange juice
1 sprigs cilantro
1 serrano peppers
1/2 small onion
1 tbs canola oil

Recipe Directions for Slow cooker pork carnitas

  1. combine first for ingredients an rub into pork roast. smash and chop garlic and press into roast.

  2. place bay leaves on bottom of crock pot and then place roast over them.

  3. pour OJ on side of pot ensuring not to wash off rub and garlic.

  4. cook low setting approx 6 to 8 hrs (until meat falls off bone and pulls apart easily)

  5. When fully cooked shred meat and fry in skillet w/ oil, cilantro, serrano peppers, and onion.

  6. Serve on warmed corn tortillas
