This creamy, thick chowder is loaded with sauage, potatoes and corn and makes a perfect addition to those cold winter days. A big bowl, and a shiny spoon is all you need to warm up those cold bones! This dish doesn't last long in our house!

Recipe Ingredients for Slow Cooker Creamy Sausage Potato and Corn Chowder

1 3/4 c low sodium chicken broth
20 ounce reduced fat cream of chicken soup
10 cups peeled, diced potatoes (can use cauliflower for a lower carb chowder)
1 pound turkey sausage
8 ounces fat free cream cheese
12 ounces frozen corn
3 tablespoons corn starch, mixed with cold water mix before adding
1 tablespoons pepper

Recipe Directions for Slow Cooker Creamy Sausage Potato and Corn Chowder

  1. Place chicken broth, cream of chicken soup and peeled/diced potatoes in the crockpot. Turn on high and cook for 4 hours.

  2. Cook sausage and drain thoroughly. Add sausage to slow cooker. Mix cornstarch with cold water and add to chowder. If you like it thick, use the full 3 tablespoons, if you like it semi-thick use 1-2 tablespoons.

  3. Cook on high for 4 hours, or low for 8 hours. Add frozen corn and cream cheese during the last hour. This makes a full 6 quart Slow cooker batch. It's creamy, delicious and never lasts long in this house!

  4. Tip: Make sure you mix the corn starch with cold water in a small bowl before adding it to the hot chowder. You will have lumps of cornstarch if you don't mix it first in a seperate bowl.
