Recipe Ingredients for Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

12 ounce boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 tbsp. butter
21 1/2 ounce condensed cream of chicken soup
1 onion, finely diced
10 ounce refrigerated biscuits, torn into pieces
10 ounce frozen mixed vegetables
2 celery stalks, diced

Recipe Directions for Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

  1. Place the chicken, butter, soup and onion in a slow cooker and fill with enough water to cover.

  2. Cover and cook on low 7 to 8 hours. About 90 minutes before serving, place the torn biscuit dough in the slow cooker, making sure to submerge. Cook on high until the dough is no longer raw in the center.
