An easy, hearty slow cooker meal to make. Equally good with chicken breasts. Serve chicken on a platter with the sauce spooned over the top, or shred the meat and stir back in to the sauce. Good with rice or pasta.

Recipe Ingredients for Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore

6 chicken thigh , skinless
3 1/2 cups marinara sauce
2 green bell pepper, seeded and cubed
8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 onion, finely diced
2 tablespoons minced garlic

Recipe Directions for Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore

  1. Put the chicken in the slow cooker. Top with the spaghetti sauce, green bell peppers, mushrooms, onion, and garlic.

  2. Cover, and cook on Low for 7 to 9 hours.
