Recipe Ingredients for slow cooker cabbage rolls

1 head cabbage
2 egg whites, beaten
8 ounces tomato sauce
3/4 cup instant brown rice
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup saltine crackers, crushed
1/2 cup onions, diced
1 1/2 lbs lean ground turkey
46 ounces v8 juice, light

Recipe Directions for slow cooker cabbage rolls

Steam 12 large outer leaves of cabbage until limp. Drain well. In a bowl, combine egg, tomato sauce, rice, green pepper, onions, cracker crumbs. Crumble ground turkey over mixture and mix well. Place about 1/3 cup turkey mixture on each cabbage leaf. Fold sides in and roll to enclose filling, secure with toothpicks if desired. Place cabbage rolls in slow cooker, pour v8 juice over and cook on low for 6-7 hrs. May add salt if desired
