Recipe Ingredients for Slow cooker beef chili con carne serv 1c 186g

16 oz Beef, Ground, 75% Lean Meat / 25% Fat, Crumbles
15.5 oz Cannellini Beans
15.5 oz Kidney Beans ' Light Red
20 oz Mild Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
3 tsp Chili Powder
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Spices Ground Black Pepper

Recipe Directions for Slow cooker beef chili con carne serv 1c 186g

  1. In large skillet on medium heat, cook 1 lb ground beef until brown, thoroughly drain all access fat drippings.

  2. Put well cooked ground beef into 3 qt slow cooker.

  3. Add 1 medium diced onion, 1 can [15.5 oz] red kidney beans, 1 can [15.5 oz] cannellini beans, 2 cans [10 oz] diced tomatoes w/chilli, mix all ingredients.

  4. Add 1/4 tsp chili powder, 1/4 tsp cayenne powder (for spice), 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp black ground pepper and add 1/2 cup water.

  5. Cover and cook on low heat for approximately 1 hour. Stir occasionally.

  6. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.

  7. To reduce calories & fat substitute ground turkey for the Beef.

  8. Garnish with shredded cheese and sour cream as desired.
