Recipe Ingredients for Slow-Cooked Swiss Steak 3

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 pound beef top round steak, cut in half
1/2 medium onion, cut into 1/4-inch slices
1/3 cup chopped celery
8 ounces tomato sauce

Recipe Directions for Slow-Cooked Swiss Steak 3

  1. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the flour, salt and pepper. Add beef; seal bag and shake to coat.

  2. Place onion in a 3-qt. slow cooker coated with cooking spray. Layer with the beef, celery and tomato sauce. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until meat is tender.

  3. Yield: 2 servings.
