Nicely seasoned tomato sauce, this enticing chicken entree is especially good over pasta or rice.

Recipe Ingredients for Slow-Cooked Italian Chicken

1 1/2 lbs Chicken Breast
14 1/2 ounces Chicken Broth
14 1/2 ounces, Tomatoes, Diced
12 ounces Tomatoe Paste
1 green pepper, medium, chopped
1 onion, small, chopped
1 garlic clove, minces
1 tbl Chilli Powder
1 tsp ground mustard
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp black pepper

Recipe Directions for Slow-Cooked Italian Chicken

  1. Place chicken breasts in 3-qt slow cooker.

  2. In bowl, combine all other ingredients

  3. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until meat thermometer reads 170 degrees

  4. Remove Chicken & keep warm

  5. Pour cooking juice into large saucepan: skim fat

  6. Combine 1/3 cup all-purpose flour & 1/2 cup cold water until smooth

  7. Stir into juices

  8. Bring to a boil

  9. Cook & stir for 2 minutes or until thickened

  10. Serve over chicken and pasta or rice
