Recipe Ingredients for Slow Cooked Chili

2 lbs lean ground beef
32 oz kidney beans
29 oz low-sodium diced tomatoes
8 oz low-sodium tomato sauce
2 onions
1 green bell pepper
2 garlic cloves
2 T chili powder
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper

Recipe Directions for Slow Cooked Chili

  1. Brown beef in nonstick skillet.

  2. Place in slow cooker.

  3. Drain and rinse kidney beans. Chop onion, bell pepper, and garlic.

  4. Add all ingredients, except cheese.

  5. Cover. Cook on high 4 hours or on low 8-10 hours.

  6. Garnish individual servings with cheese, if desired.
