Recipe Ingredients for Slow Cooked Chili Beans

16 oz dry pinto beans
15 oz tomato sauce
4 cups water
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp onion powder

Recipe Directions for Slow Cooked Chili Beans

  1. pre-soak beans overnight or in a pressure cooker. Drain and rinse off beans.

  2. Add beans to slow cooker. Add tomato sauce, spices and enough water to cover the beans.

  3. Slow cook on high for 6-8 hours or until tender. Check liquid levels every couple hours. There should always be some liquid in the bottom when beans are done.
