Recipe Ingredients for Slow-braised beans with kale

3 tbsp Olive Oil
1 medium Carrots
1 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long) Celery
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
4 clove Garlic
16 oz Beans
3 tbsp Tomato Products
4 cup, chopped Kale
5 cup (8 fl oz) Water
1 tsp Parsley, Dried
1 tsp Thyme, Fresh
0.021 oz Bay Leaf

Recipe Directions for Slow-braised beans with kale

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees. In a large Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium low heat. Add the onion, carrots and celery. Cook, stirring often, until the onion is tender, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the tomato sauce, drained beans, water, kale, bouquet garni and bring to a boil. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. Bake 3 hours until the beans are tender and creamy. Taste and adjust salt.
