from Diabetes Journal, doubled recipe, halved ground red pepper

Recipe Ingredients for Sloppy Joes

1 lb turkey, ground, lean
1/4 c onion, minced
2 c tomato soup, reduced sodium
2 T vinegar
2 tsp mustard, dried
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp pepper, red, ground

Recipe Directions for Sloppy Joes

  1. Cook and drain the ground turkey.

  2. Add all other ingredients and heat.

  3. Spoon onto whole wheat buns or cooked potatoes. (starch is not included in nutrition info)
