These are so easy and good. They came from the Hillbilly Housewife website.

Recipe Ingredients for Sloppy Joes

2 lbs extra lean ground beef, drained and rinsed
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon chili powder

Recipe Directions for Sloppy Joes

  1. Saute hamburger and onion in fryingpan.

  2. Break it up into small pieces with a fork as you fry it.

  3. Place the meat and onion in a strainer and rinse in hot tap water. Drain well.

  4. Rinse the skillet.

  5. Transfer the meat and onion back into the skillet.

  6. Add the tomato sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper and chili powder.

  7. Simmer for about 20 minutes.

  8. If the mixture becomes too thick then add a little water to thin it down.
