Makes a good chunky sloppy joe. I alos add a 1/4 pureed carrots or other vegetable if I have them.

Recipe Ingredients for Sloppy Joes with beans

1 bun Nature's Own Honey Wheat Buns
16 oz Beef, Ground, 90% Lean Meat / 10% Fat, Crumbles
1 cup Pinto Beans
1 cup, chopped Peppers, Sweet, Red
1 small raw Red Onion
1 serving Worcestershire Sauce
1 tbsp Molasses
1 tsp Sea Salt
3 tsp California Style Minced Garlic made from Fresh Garlic
8 oz Sharp Cheddar 2% Milk Reduced Fat
1.5 cup Tomato Sauce
2 tbsp Tomato Paste
1 tbsp Vinegar red wine
1 tsp Mustard Powder

Recipe Directions for Sloppy Joes with beans

  1. Brown the meat and the onion in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, breaking up the meat into crumbles as it cooks. Pour the drippings out of the pan and

  2. discard. Add the garlic, jalapeno, and red pepper and cook 5 minutes more, stirring occasionally. Stir in the rest of the ingredients, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 5 minutes more.

  3. Place a half-cup scoop of the mixture onto each bun with shredded cheese and serve.
