Shredded cabbage stands in for the time consuming rolling of the cabbage. Really good with a dab of fat free sour cream, or a sprinkle of cheddar cheese or both on top

Recipe Ingredients for Sloppy Cabbage rolls

1 1/2 lbs extra lean ground beef
1 onion chopped
26 oz galric and herb spaghetti sauce
1/2 head cabbage (shredded)
1 serving (1/2 cup) hunts diced tomato
1 tbls minced garlic
1/2 cup water
1 cup uncooked rice

Recipe Directions for Sloppy Cabbage rolls

  1. brown meat, onion and garlic together

  2. Toss in rice and water for 5 minutes on medium heat

  3. then add shredded lettuce and sauce

  4. reduce to simmer for an hour covered

  5. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking
