Slimmer's Goulash Recipe

Goulash - serve with salad and/or rice.

Recipe Ingredients for Slimmer's Goulash

20 oz chuck steak
1 oz flour
2 tablespoons oil
1 onion
1/4 pint stock
14 oz can tomatoes
1 teaspoon tomato puree
4 oz peas
2 teaspoons paprika
2 tablespoons natural yoghurt
1 salt and pepper

Recipe Directions for Slimmer's Goulash

  1. Dice meat, coat with seasoned flour and brown quickly in the hot oil.

  2. Remove from the pan and saute the sliced onion until soft.

  3. Return the meat, add stock, tomatoes and puree.

  4. Cover and simmer for 1.75 hours.

  5. Add peas, paprika and seasoning to taste 10 minutes before the end of cooking.

  6. Remove from the heat and stir in the yoghurt.

  7. Serve with crisp salad.
