Recipe Ingredients for Sleepy Lettuce Soup with Kale

1 tbsp. olive oil
1 cup onion
1 tbsp garlic clove
450 g (1lb) potatoes
1 tbsp bouillon
8 tbsp millet
2 cup romaine lettuce
1 cup Kale
4 tbsp parsley
4 cup water

Recipe Directions for Sleepy Lettuce Soup with Kale

  1. Heat the oil with a little water in a large saucepan. Add the large chopped onion and pressed garlic and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. Add the 1" cube potatoes and cook for 2 more minutes

  3. Add 1 liter water (4 cups), together with vegetable bouillon powder and millet.

  4. Bring to boil,then lower the heat and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender when pierced with a knife.

  5. Add the chopped lettuce and chopped kale and cook for 2-3 minutes or until just wilted.

  6. Allow to cool before blending in a food processor or with a hand-held blender until smooth along with 2 tbsp. of the fresh chervil or parsley.
