Am I too skinny?

My mom thinks I'm too skinny. I'm female, 20 years, 175 cm, and my weight varies between 61 - 64kgs. In the last 6months, I lost 6 – 7 kg. Am I too skinny?
At about 5’9” and 134 – 140 lbs, your BMI (Body Mass Index) is 20 – 21, and so you are slim but still within the normal weight range; however, unless your frame is very small, I believe that 61 kg (134 lb) is too low for you and 64 kg (141 lb) would be better. Your mom may be right but, in addition, she is reacting to your recent dramatic weight loss, which could make you look gaunt in her eyes. Parents rightly fear that their dieting children may go overboard and make themselves sick, but if you maintain your new weight, exercise to tone your muscles, and don’t exhibit eating disordered behaviors, your mom should adjust in time.
