Whipped mashed potatoes from scratch

Recipe Ingredients for Skin On Creamy Mashed Potatoes

2 pounds of potatoes
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup cream
6 tablespoons of butter
1 tsp pepper

Recipe Directions for Skin On Creamy Mashed Potatoes

  1. Quarter raw potatoes

  2. Place them in a large pot

  3. Pour in cold water up to one inch over potatoes

  4. Bring to a boil

  5. Boil for 15-20 minutes until potatoes can be easily pierced with a fork

  6. Drain potatoes and then return them to the pan for one minute to cook out excess water

  7. In a mixing bowl, mash potatoes with a potato ricer or a fork

  8. Add other ingredients and whip with a whisk until smooth.
