Recipe Ingredients for Skillet Turkey Burgers

1 3/10 lb 93% lean ground turkey
1 tsp salt
1 tsp poultry seasoning
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tbsp vegetable oil
4 hamburger rolls

Recipe Directions for Skillet Turkey Burgers

  1. Mix turkey, salt, poultry seasoning, and pepper together.

  2. Divide meat into 4 equal portions.

  3. Form 4 1-inch thick burgers with 1/4 inch indentation in each center.

  4. Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat until just smoking.

  5. Place burgers in the skillet indentation-side up and cook until bottoms are dark brown, about 3 minutes.

  6. Flip the burgers over and continue to cook the burgers until light brown, about 3 minutes.

  7. Reduce the heat to low, partially cover the pan, and continue to cook until the center of each burger is completely opaque and measures 160 degrees on an instant-read thermometer, about 7 minutes.

  8. Transfer the burgers to the buns and top as desired.
