I used Total Cranberry Crunch Cereal and it was really good.

Recipe Ingredients for Six Week Bran Muffins

15 oz Raisin Bran
3 c sugar (or use 2 1/2 c honey)
5 c flour (can use part wheat)
5 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
4 egg whites
2 eggs
1 quart buttermilk
1 c applesauce

Recipe Directions for Six Week Bran Muffins

  1. Mix together and store in refrigerator. BAke in muffin tins for 15 minutes at 375*. Mixture keeps for up to 6 weeks in the refrigerator.

  2. The regular recipe calls for 1 c of oil and 4 beaten whole eggs. You can also use 8 egg whites to cut the fat and cholesterol content further.

  3. Makes approximately 4 dozen regular size muffins.
