filipino beef stew (tamarind base)

Recipe Ingredients for sinigang

1 1/4 pound stew beef
1/2 medium onion
4 cups water
1 cup grape tomatoes
4 cups spinach, raw
1 1/2 pound turnips
8 tbsp poultry seasoning

Recipe Directions for sinigang

  1. brown beef in bottom of pot

  2. add onions

  3. add seasoning and water and bring to boil

  4. slow cook on high for two hours

  5. add turnips and tomatoes and continue to cook on low for six hours

  6. stir in spinach an hour before eating

  7. eat with rice and fish sauce
