Simple and hearty chili with plenty of flavor serving size = 3/4 cup

Recipe Ingredients for Simple Turkey Chili

1 1/2 tsp olive oil
1 lb ground turkey
1 cup onion, chopped
2 cups water
28 ounce tomatoes, canned, crushed
16 ounce chili beans, canned, drained, rinsed
16 ounce black beans, canned, drained, rinsed
1 tbsp garlic, minced
2 tbsp chili powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp oregano, dried
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, ground
1/2 tsp cumin, ground
1/2 tsp pepper, ground, black
2 tbsp sugar

Recipe Directions for Simple Turkey Chili

  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Place turkey in the pot and cook until evenly browned. Stir in onion and cook until tender.

  2. Pour water into pot. Mix in tomatoes, beans and garlic. Season with spices. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
