Recipe Ingredients for Simple Granola

2 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 cup All-bran cereal
1/2 cup All bran
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup prunes
1/4 cup apricots
1/4 cup cranberries
1/3 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Simple Granola

  1. Spray a 15x10x1-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray; set aside. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. In a large bowl stir together oats, All-bran, wheat germ, and almonds. In a small bowl stir together honey and cinnamon. Pour mixture over cereal mixture. Use a wooden spoon to mix well.

  2. Spread granola evenly onto prepared pan. Bake for 35 minutes, stirring occasionally. Carefully stir in dried prunes, apricots, and cranberries. Bake 3 to 5 minutes more or until golden brown. Spread on foil to cool. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Serve with vanilla low-fat yogurt and fresh fruit.
