The sheets of dough are Phyllo dough which can be found in the freezer case. This extremely tasty dish contrasts textures, sweet, salty, crispy, and crunchy with the goodness of whole grain and fruit.

Recipe Ingredients for Sid's Original Moroccan Style Dish

1 cup Wild Rice, uncooked
2 cup turkey, dark
1 cup Golden Raisins
1/2 cup Dried Cranberries
1/2 cup Chopped Walnuts
1 cup water
3 bouillon cubes
1/2 tbsp Cinnamon
24 sheet dough
1 cup Melted butter
1/2 cup powdered Sugar

Recipe Directions for Sid's Original Moroccan Style Dish

  1. Mix together first eight ingredients in a large bowl. Set aside.

  2. Place one sheet of phyllo dough on counter and brush with butter to coat. Place a second piece of phyllo dough on top and brush with butter to coat. Repeat for a total of four layers of phyllo.

  3. Place 1 Cup of mixture in bowl on the phyllo dough. Fold phyllo over top of mixture and tuck ends underneath.

  4. Transfer to a greased baking dish. Brush top and sides with melted butter.

  5. There should be enough mixture to make 6 pastries.

  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Top with powdered sugar and serve hot.
