It's good for a "sick day" and it's also just a really "sick" soup.

Recipe Ingredients for Sick Vegetable Soup

4 cups vegetable broth
1 1/2 cups water
5 carrots, chopped
1/2 cup portabella mushrooms, chopped
3 cups broccoli, chopped
2 tsp sesame oil
2 tsp soy sauce
2 oz egg noodles
3/4 cup bread flour
4 tablespoons butter
1 egg
1/6 cup rice milk
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp chili powder

Recipe Directions for Sick Vegetable Soup

  1. Begin heating broth and water while chopping vegetables. Throw in as you go. Season with salt and pepper, oil and soy sauce to taste.

  2. To make the dumplings:

  3. Cream butter, add egg. Add flour and milk, alternating until fully incorporated. Add nutmeg and chili. Drop little balls into the simmering soup. Cover for 15 minutes. Enjoy!
